These luscious waterfalls are situated about 47 kilometers away from Thrissur. This breathtakingly beautiful waterfall is the highest in its league. Athirappily waterfalls has made appearance in many movies because of the panoramic view. This waterfall is nestled in the dense forests of Sholayar. This waterfall flows down beautifully from a height of 82 feet. This stream of waterfall flows to form a pool which then forms the Chalakuddy river and then culminating into the Arabian Sea. The Athirappilly forest is home to different varieties of wildlife.

Vazhachal Waterfalls has 300 feet slope

The Vazhachal Waterfalls lies in close proximity to the Athirappilly Waterfalls with a distance of just 7 kilometers. These waterfalls cascade from a 300 feet slope. This beautiful waterfall can be paid a visit along with the trip to Athirappily waterfalls.

Thommankuthu Waterfalls attracts tourists with its white silk flow

The Thommankuthu Waterfalls flows through seven steps with water flowing into a big pool at every step. The view is that of a white silk cloth flowing through the seven steps. One can indulge in trekking to get the scenic view of the surrounding. This waterfall is just 65 kilometers away from the city of Cochin.

Meenmutty Waterfalls is lying in the midst of scenic beauty

Located near the BansuraSagar Dam, the Meenmutty Waterfalls, which is near to Wayanad, is a gorgeous milky white stream of waterfall cascading down from a 300 feet high slope through several tiers. This waterfall glides through the thick forests and beautiful valleys. The trek through the forest will take one to this waterfall. This waterfall is considered the second largest in Kerala.

Thusharagiri Waterfalls invites tourists to trekking

The word Thusharagiri means snowy mountains. The view from top is that of snow covered landscape. Located in the north of Kerala which is also called the Malabar area, this waterfall is only about 48 kilometers from Calicut. This waterfall lets itself loose from the Western Ghats and the streams of water merges to form the Chalippuzha river. One can go for trekking while they are here.

The Soochipara Waterfalls is otherwise called Sentinel Rock Waterfalls. This 3 tier waterfall flows down from a height of 200 meters. This stream of waterfall forms a pool below which is ideal for swimming because of its low depth. This waterfall is near the Wayanad district of Kerala. One can see deer while on a trek. There are several tree top houses available for stay and the sentinel rock is perfect for climbing.

The Palaruvi Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Kerala. This waterfall is considered to be the 32nd highest waterfall in the whole of India. This luscious waterfall flows down from above 300 feet. This picturesque waterfall is ideal for having a picnic. The surrounding hills and valleys form a majestically beautiful backdrop.

Cheeyappara Waterfalls is surrounded by mountains
